Kelly Ripa is going from pimping out a bank to shopping for wedding dresses on TLC’s new show ‘Say Yes to the Dress. No, we are not making this up. This is actually happening. Is this the precursor to “ Grocery Shopping with the Stars?” What could be more daunting than shopping for the perfect wedding dress?

That’s what Rips discovered when she got the chance to play bridal consultant for a day , a job she apparently always wanted to try out, on the show Say Yes to the Dress.

Quoted in People Magazine, Ripa claimed “I’m terrified!”

But she did it anyway, We assume the pay check out weighed the feigned terror.

“This dress is heavy,” she muses while struggling to lace up a gown on her bride. “I’m totally overwhelmed,” Ripa, 41, confesses. “This could be the hardest job on the planet!”

Ok, maybe not riveting commentary, nor should one be looking for such with this show.

This may be a step up from ‘Bridezillas’ but not much.

The aspect that we at InsideCelebrities.com find most interesting, if not that the show is being made, but that enough people will tune in to make it worth TLC’s investment to actually make this show.

Percy Munger, columnist for InsideCelebrities.com said “not a mentally challenging show by any stretch, but what have we come expect from TLC? This is the network that gave us ‘Toddlers and Tiaras”, not exactly Emmy worthy programming.

The season seven premiere of Say Yes to the Dress, featuring guest consultant Kelly Ripa, airs Friday at 9 p.m. ET on TLC.
