Paulina Gretzky, the 22-year-old daughter of hockey legend Wayne Gretzky, has had her Twitter account body checkcd by her protective dad. After having had dabbled in pop music and acting before finding her true digital media calling, posing and posting provocative photos on social media, Paulina appears to be trying for life in the fast to fame lane.
It worked for the Kim Kardashian, sex tape anyone?
She never became a music sensation, but she became an Internet legend. Her provocative photos clearly show off her genetic gifts (thanks mom & dad!), but also show a girl maybe a tad desperate for attention and fame. Ok, maybe more than a tad.
And dad, who never yearned for the bright lights of Hollywood perhaps was a bit miffed at the effort and attention. He met with his daughter for dinner and the account was soon deleted.
Is anyone in Hollywood listening? Bruce Jenner are you there?
As The Chive headline said, above its gallery of 34 scantily clad, cleavage-filled Paulina Gretzky images: “Paulina Gretzky is using the Twitter machine properly.”
Well her Twitter feed has been deleted, and David Graham of the Toronto Star pieces together a timeline that suggests Wayne Gretzky may have encouraged it.
“It’s possible the news raised the profile of his daughter’s racy online photographs. Her dad was born and raised in Brantford, a far cry from the Hollywood nightlife that has attracted his eldest daughter. Before her Twitter was closed, she tweeted “Having a nice sit down dinner with my dad about social media..haha #SIKEEE (sic).”
Yes, as we all know, Wayne Gretzky summarily rejected the Hollywood lifestyle, having never once dropped his stick or unlaced his skates to party during his time in Los Angeles. Nope. Not once. The Puritan From Brantford they called him.
“I think he is just being a protective dad,” said IC columnist Percy Munger. “He has seen what goes on in the lives of some of these chicks and stepped in. Throwing your breast up on Twitter is just a step away from doing porn and he knows it. He’s played and lived in LA. He has seen that stuff first hand.”
